Montau Judith Montau Freiburg Montau is a one woman band. I am a singer and composer. I have written songs for cinema and TV (Patty Moon). I have produced one album with Notwist producer Mario Thaler (Patty Moon). I have played many gigs on the big stage; solo, with band and strings, and as supporting act for Agnes Obel and Cat Power. The song “Polar Light” features award-winning Norwegian musician Daniel Herskedal. He liked the song and its story and agreed to record a solo on it. The press has previously called my music the Black Forest’s answer to the melancholic Iceland pop. The songs will be released on the EP “Early Forest Glitter” (rel. 5 Jan 2023). The EP features four songs off the work-in-progress album “Black Forest Glitter”, the production being sponsored by the German Initiative Musik.
