Diarmuid Torney on EU 2030, the Paris Agreement and the Irish declarations by GOVTRAN

First episode of a mini-series of podcast interviews conducted at the GOVTRAN workshop on 'Appraising the EU’s 2030 Climate and Energy Policy Framework' held on 8–9 July 2019 at the Erik Castrén Institute, University of Helsinki. In this interview, Assistant Professor Diarmuid Torney discusses the current alignment of the EU with the Paris Agreement, the steps that the EU can take to maintain its status as climate leader at the global level and to step up its ambition and, finally, recent developments scaling up the issue of climate change in Ireland.
