The World Meeting of Families is an event that takes place every three years as the Church brings together the largest international gathering of families in the world. Ireland will have the joy of hosting the next World Meeting of Families from the 21st to the 26th of August next year. This new podcast is coming to you weekly between now and next August and we hope to bring you all the news about how preparations are going for the 9th World Meeting of Families. But, we also hope to take time out on this podcast to talk about family. This podcast is presented by Brenda Drumm. In this week’s episode Brenda is speaking to Richard Brennan, the Volunteer Project Manager with WMOF2018 about the scale of the volunteer programme for the gathering in August. Also on this week's podcast, Bishop Denis Nulty, the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, shares five ways that people can support the World Meeting of Families 2018 with just eight months to go. This week's news snippets focus on the Amoris Programme, Registration, Catholic Schools Week 2018, the Host A Family/Pilgrim Programme, and the Exhibition as part of the WMOF2018.
