Bentonville Bond Issue - Flooding and Drainage by Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Podcasts

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reporter Mike Jones talks to Dan Weese Bentonville's city engineer about a series of drainage issues. The city could address the problems if a bond issue passes.
Residents will be asked at a special election April 13 to approve up to $266 million in bonds by extending a 1% city sales tax. Included in the bond proposal is $19.75 million for drainage improvements.
The projects were selected from drainage studies, 311 concerns and known flooding issues. The upgrades would improve drainage for over 500 homes, reduce roadway flooding and the infrastructure will be designed to provide drainage for future development, according to the city.
