Super Human DNA! by yarahata published on 2019-05-01T05:11:10Z Composed by Yoshiko Arahata, Super Human DNA! was written as Scene 3 for a dance choreography "ACTTCT/???/ CAGTGG" for the University of Rochester dance show S.E.E.D. (Spring Explorations and Experimental Dances. April, 2019. Choreographed by Mariah Steele, this dance explores the scientific and ethical dimensions of the genetically edited humans (news from November 28, 2018). Scene 3 is set in the future year of 2100, where genetically modified "super humans" occupy the world. Through their gene modifications, these humans heroically rejoice their birth. After this scene, the dance concludes by addressing a tragic consequence to producing these super humans, such as inequality, discrimination, and abandonment of "normal" humans.
