Presentation of DNAs (Scene 1) by yarahata published on 2019-05-02T03:32:41Z Composed by Yoshiko Arahata, "Presentations of DNAs" was written as Scene 1 for a dance choreography "ACTTCT/???/ CAGTGG" for the University of Rochester dance show S.E.E.D. (Spring Explorations and Experimental Dances. April, 2019. Choreographed by Mariah Steele, this dance explores the scientific and ethical dimensions of the genetically edited humans (news from November 28, 2018). Scene 1 sets an introduction to the human DNAs and its natural activity such as protein synthesis. Later in this dance, these DNAs are modified and produce the world where "super humans" dominate, creating potential tragic consequences such as inequality, discrimination, and abandonment of "normal" humans.
