Exultate Chamber Singers Toronto Since 1981, the Exultate Chamber Singers has become known for sensitive, precise singing, richness of tone, and blended sound throughout a wide dynamic range. Founded and led for 30 years by John Tuttle, the choir has also been under the direction of Karen Grylls and Hilary Apfelstadt. This year, Exultate welcomes Mark Ramsay as its new artistic director. The choir is enriched not only by the excellent musicianship of its members but also by their varied academic and professional backgrounds. Together, they form a passionate, committed ensemble with a wide-ranging repertoire. Exultate is a two-time winner of the Healey Willan Grand Prize in the CBC National Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs, has appeared in performance with Alice Parker, Morten Lauridsen, and Ola Gjeilo, and has released five albums to date.
