My New Gun by Pat Irwin published on 2020-10-18T19:05:22Z My New Gun is the first feature film that I scored. Stacy Cochran wrote and directed this wonderful movie. I pulled together some great musicians for the soundtrack with Dougie Bowne on drums and Sebastian Steinberg on bass. Bill Ware played vibes and marimba, Jane Scarpantoni played cello and Gib Wharton is on pedal steel. We had the best on screen wedding band ever with Billy Martin and Chris Wood. Oren Bloedow added guitar. I played clarinet, guitar, organ and played piano on the country tune, "A Picture Of You," that Stacy and I wrote for the soundtrack. Syd Straw sang that song beautifully and absolutely killed on our version of "That's When I Reach For My Revolver," one of my all time favorite songs by one of my all time favorite bands, Mission Of Burma. This music has never seen the light of day and I'm happy to share it with you now.
