Charles Holcomb Composer Charles Holcomb I got really interested in music when my uncle gave me an old alto saxophone at the age of 10. I played that thing for a few months at home until I got into the school band. After I got better at playing, the neighbors opened their windows again. Later I played in bands after school and started arranging the band parts that we listened to on records. Back then we listened to popular records to play that music for parties. I compose original instrumental orchestrations sandwiched between classical and popular music to please fans of both types of music. I make the production more of a modern symphonic sound rather than a traditional classical scoring.
