Peninsula Live - Lisa Bosman S1E1 by Radio Sidney published on 2019-01-07T02:13:49Z This program originally streamed Friday December 14, 2018. The performance was recorded at the Brentwood Bay Village Emporium in Brentwood Bay British Columbia. The evening was hosted by John Carswell, proprietor and features the music of Lisa Bosman. Lisa Bosman is not a stranger to the stage. Her background is full of theatrical musings from LA to New York and from David Mamet to Shakespeare. While her background is Musical theatre her first love has always been to play and sing onstage. She started playing the piano by ear at a young age and took up playing the guitar around eleven years old. She has only graced the music stage recently on the Saanich Peninsula at the Muse Winery playing with Heather McLeod. Most recently she played in a duo called Indigo Girls featuring a 70’s folky rock genre. Her greatest influences are Janis Ian and James Taylor along with indie folk artists such as John Smith and Vance Gilbert. She is now beginning to write again and is taking on a project combining theatre and original music in a solo performance two act play. The play is still in the creative process.
