Tony Giampetro Anthony Giampetro Philadelphia, PA Tony has been writing songs for over 20 years. First collaborating with a lyricist friend and then writing and composing his own songs. He has played mostly for friends and family but has written songs he performed for two original plays written by his lyricist friend Ray Saraceni. He has been acting since High School and received his Masters degree in theater at Villanova University as well as his Bachelor’s degree in English. Writing has always been in his wheelhouse but has mostly been a private affair shared with only a trusted few. He was recently named "One to Watch" by Nashville Song Writers Association for his latest song “Country Soul” and won the NSAI Chapter Challenge two years running for “Right As Rain” and “Kid In America”all recorded in Nashville. Just recently he was one of three finalists in the John Lennon Song Writing Contest for “Country Soul” and received an honorable mention in the American Songwriter Lyric contest for “Only a House”. He is now ready to humbly offer his repertoire with a wider audience.
