The talk is moderated by the China-US Women’s Foundation executive director Leslie Wolf-Creutzfeldt. A former TV reporter and producer, Ann’s first memoir, Her Beautiful Brain, movingly explored her mother’s early onset Alzheimer and won a 2016 Next Generation Indie award. Her insightful writing can be found in 3rd Act Magazine and other publications, including her blog The Restless Nest. Ann recently finished a second memoir, After Ecstasy. Ann discusses the power of memoir to heal and help you to reflect on the world around you, and how you can use it to better cope in these difficult times. She teaches to start off with writing scenes from you life, like squares of a quilt. We invite you to join us in keeping a journal for thirty days and then share your reflections with us. Journal writing is an effective coping technique that can help you explore your emotions as well as manage feelings of stress. To find out about our events and other podcasts, visit us at CUSWF.org.
