ASAC_hearing by medgate published on 2018-12-18T10:01:02Z Comment by RaduBT A bunch of retarded nazis projecting their own insecurity and (passive) incompetence as "aggression". In a classic book of Psychiatry, published in 1909 by the French psychiatrist Paul serieux, Les Folies raisonnantes, he describes a psychotic picture which he called "delirium of interpretation" which is distinguished from other forms of delirium by not exhibit any sensory disturbance. This means that the perception that the individual have of the facts was correct, he had hallucinations, but somehow mount information in a delirious way. This means for them, all that data can be real. If you see the books of Marx, Hitler's Mein Kampf, or the writings of Che Guevara, we find there are a lot of facts perfectly real but are delusional because they are interpreted according to that future that is given to them, as "known". 2019-01-03T07:08:09Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird @vizkiddesign: There are various sites that allow you to download from soundcloud, youtube, etc. I already made a copy and also transcribed it to text. 2019-01-02T15:19:27Z Comment by clarkeysg @user-57381545: Before you can take any steps toward fixing any problems, step 0 is for the person to recognise the problem with their behaviour. If this guy can't see or isn't willing to admit to the committee the problems with his behaviour, how can they possibly see a path forward where this guy is able to behave in an acceptable manner in medical school? 2019-01-02T13:35:10Z Comment by clarkeysg @user-57381545: The goal for this committee seems to be to determine "is this guy capable of maintaining enough professionalism to continue med school". 2019-01-02T13:32:23Z Comment by clarkeysg @user-885467140: This isn't a courtroom. The goal of this committee isn't to compile evidence or "prosecute" their case for kicking this guy out. 2019-01-02T13:30:26Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird "And we are all physicians, we know what the patients feel." I find that highly questionable. First of all, they seem to be completely oblivious to how someone put into such a star chamber feels, nor do you appear to care about it. If I was treated like that as a student, I would be scared, yet, they claim they are such caring and compassionate beings. As far as professionalism is concerned, I find this abuse of power and roundabout way to corner a student unprofessional. 2019-01-02T12:39:46Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird "I think any patient you walked into the room with would be scared." I know these sort of allegations very well, which you cannot really defend against. They argue from people's supposed feelings and you cannot argue their feelings away. It seems to me that they are simply irked that he is argumentative and questioning of authority, and to bolster their claims they insert allegations of fear. This is gas lighting and begging the question in my mind. 2019-01-02T12:36:51Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird Here is finally the allegation in a nutshell: his behavior is "aggressive and threatening". 2019-01-02T12:32:57Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird Chair of the committee: A "Doctor Tucker", if I heard it correctly. 2019-01-02T12:23:44Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird Here they are stating that the type of behavior that was cause for this meeting was the same, in their words, as the one he is "exhibiting in this meeting": The problem they are having is that he is confrontational in his view. He also states that it is not "typical behavior for a medical student to be recording". That is an incredibly despicable justification, because it is clearly not a typical situation to have one's academic position be put on the line like that, either. The response to the allegation is being used as further evidence for the validity of the allegation in the first place. This is a typical catch 22: if he takes measures to protect his rights, he will be presented as confrontational and difficult. If he takes no such measures, he places his fait into the hands of people who already seem to have made him their target. This is Kafkaesque. 2019-01-02T12:22:38Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird Okay, here is finally their statement on why they are having this meeting, after they appeared to try to bait him into hanging himself: "We are here because we are worried about your professionalism." Slight wording difference might be there, because I was typing from memory. So far, all allegations are incredibly vague, only stating that "several people have expressed concern". That seems like an incredibly backhanded way to put someone's enrollment on the line. 2019-01-02T12:15:18Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird This sounds like a trap. They: "Tell me why we are having this meeting." 2019-01-02T12:12:00Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird He states at this point that he has already reached out to FIRE (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education), which is a good idea. 2019-01-02T12:08:48Z Comment by Undead Mockingbird @marius-sielcken: Yes, I agree. He was probably nervous, which worked against him. I really would have liked them to get more specific. The allegations against him are incredibly vague at this point and it's a good idea to give them enough rope to hang themselves with. I am going through the audio and I'm trying to make a transcript that summarizes the most detailed version of the allegations. He had the right idea in asking them to restate the issue for the record, but then he was too anxious to interrupt. 2019-01-02T12:07:04Z Comment by jwesley23 What a dipstick.
