Four Contrasts For Brass Quintet by DFWainwright published on 2021-10-14T13:34:22Z These four contrasts were written in 1975, initially for the staff and some pupils from Manchester Music Centres. They were, at one time, used by a brass player from the BBC for his teaching in Chethams School of Music. The 2nd contrast started life as a potential solemn wedding march but was too long for the short church! The last movement opens with the opening of an In Memoriam written for my old music teacher, Ron Belk, to whom I owe so much.
