WooOps but I've been working on this spooky dooky synthwave track since last year and felt the perfect time to finally release it on the day of Samhain. Song comes from a very very dark place in my mind. It's based on a vigilante supernatural creature who gruesomely tortures and kills other sick individuals--its favourites being men. The true crime cases I had in mind was that of Junko Furuta, Kelly Anne Bates and Lana Kasian--as well as other terrible cases that had innocent women just suffer at the hands of man. Bitches may complain that this is a "feminist" song and while I have my complaints about feminism---the movement exists for a reason and women feeling unsafe is very much real thing that still persists in this generation. So Mistress Apex comes from my dark fantasies of being able to just murder whoever's threat to me if I dare to alone at night. Now you see why this is the perfect Halloween song?
