Together, Trent and Leslie will explore the conversations and emotions that patients and families experience when they receive a difficult medical diagnosis and begin to process how to move forward and what the future may hold. Guest Bio: Leslie Groves, MSW, LCSW, has worked in the hospice and palliative care field for more than 22 years. Her experience includes direct practice and leadership roles within both hospice and hospital settings. Groves previously worked for Hospice of the Piedmont and currently works as a Palliative Counselor for Novant Health in the Greater Winston-Salem area alongside the Palliative Care Inpatient Specialist Group. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Elon College and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2003, she received her North Carolina clinical licensure.
