Woves Los Angeles A confluence of musicianship and production stemming from both coasts, Woves emits a blacklight from between the darker folds of the alt-wave scene. LA-based producer & songwriter, Josh Ricchio (Freak Owls), NYC-based producer Kolby Wade (Imaginary People), and singer-songwriter Emily Zuzik (Moby, Tim Lefebvre) unite their respective influences to create thematic indie-electronic songs, reminiscent of a drive through the neon lights of nostalgic nights. Ricchio and Wade layer palpitating synths and opalescent guitars with analog drum machines underneath Zuzik’s seductive and mesmerizing alto, weaving threads of every color in and around the confines of every song. Ricchio lends his voice to backing and lead throughout, both vocalists feeding off of each other’s disparate styles. 'Release' is the first song written by Woves on their unreleased full-length, 'Chaos Mesa', due out this year. The duo of producer-songwriter Josh Ricchio & singer Emily Zuzik wrote the LP, originally commissioned by a NYC label, toward the end of 2019. The label dissolved recently from a combination of a takeover and the pandemic, but the band is still keen on getting the album out there. All songs were written and recorded in Ricchio's LA studio.
