PAREIDOLIA Allbee/Zapparoli Berlin PareiDoliΛ is a duo investigating the extremes of presence and absence: sonifying phenomenon which normally lie beyond the human threshold of perception, reconfiguring the embodiment of instrument and performer in space, transmitting and receiving spectral voices. PareiDoliA is Marta Zapparoli and Liz Allbee, two Berlin based experimental musicians. Marta works with self-built antennas, world wide band receivers and detectors, while Liz works with her self-designed quadraphonic trumpet and tine-wave spatializations. Together the two perform a long-form multi-channel composition of haunting intensity.
