Run by Betnwaar & Afrique2000. Together, they perform highly danceable sets mixing together a wide range of music inspired and influenced by – or made in – Africa.
Sauvage Sound System’s purpose on this earth is relatively simple : to give everyone a chance to dance. The crew’s combined personnalities make for a singular balance between old and new, fresh and musky.
Unusual, surprising yet warm and infectious, their distinctive blend of vintage, ghetto and futuristic afro sounds is backed by visual artwork created by video maker and singer Pierre Moulin.
As promoters, the duo runs the "Nuit Sauvage", a night dedicated to african & creole music. Former guests : Hugo Mendez, Poirier, Midnight Ravers, Débruit, Nyege Nyege crew...
Together with Dj Karl Hungus, Sauvage Sound System hosts the hottest black music club session in Reunion Island : What’s Up Dock ?
Twice a year for the last three years, the party’s gathered a thousand dancers with an ambitious line-up of international DJs and street artists performing live :
- DJs : Soulist, Hugo Mendez (Sofrito), Nickodemus (Turntables on the Hudson), Secousse Sound System (Radio Secousse), Florian Keller (Party Keller, 45 Live), Jon More (Coldcut, Ninja tune), DJ Suspect, Ollie Teeba, Format, Mr Thing, Lord Funk, Grems, La Fine Equipe...
