Micky Salatino is a creative reuse artist and community organizer with the Long Beach Time Exchange and an environmental activist; Taylor Thomas is an organizer and Research and Policy Analyst for East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice; and Elaine Villanueva Bernal is one of the main organizers for the Long Beach March for Science, a member of the Long Beach Human Relations Commission, and a chemistry lecturer at Cal State Long Beach. The group discusses the port of Long Beach and Los Angeles, the Southern California International Gateway, the health risks of living in the Diesel Death Zone, environmental racism, and what Long Beach residents can do to help curb pollution and advance greener policies on a local level.
