Michael Shmoo was born a student of priceless works of art, whether it's coming from Sasha, Digweed, Emerson, or Van Gogh. Shmoo always strives to connect the dots through the annals of House and Techno history to his interest in modern day depth & texture within Underground Culture.

Shmoo is Known for You Are Here series with Derrick Carter at Chicago's legendary Spybar as well as his groundbreaking studio work with Gramaphone's Garrett David, Shmoo launched the leading-edge SHFFT multimedia project as a way to stay active during the global club shutdown & prodution tracks which has received support from Honey Dijon on BBC Radio 1 as well as Carl Cox. Shmoo has also been a featured guest on DJ Heather's popular CHI FI SHOW on Twitch stream channel.

Shmoo is a Dj that has been recognized by the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events for his work in House music production, promotion & performance alongside the likes of Lady D, Steve 'Miggedy' Maestro & Duane Powell, who also been recognized by 5 Magazine as "One of the best people working in Chicago's scene right now & a Hometown Hero".
