To sensitize people to listen to their environment through music, this is the goal of u2p050 and the composer Simplon98 who worked on the recording of the sound sources of a unique territory in France: the salt flats of Hyères.

Hydrophone, geophone, ultrasonic detector, parabola, acoustic recorder, piezo microphone, cannon or stereos are the devices of capture which were used in order to carry out a true sound cartography of this space torn between artificial sanctuary of the avifauna -- with more than 250 species of birds each year -- and seaside resort crossed daily by the aircraft of the airport Toulon-Hyères.

This Ep concept was created to be broadcast in a church in Arles, called Eglise des Trinitaires. The reverberation of the architecture colored all the tracks distributed on multichannel speakers. That is why there is a reverb on the master of each of this 4 compositions, part of a larger set of 1 hour and 1 minute in length including the sound of an airplane flying through the church choir, the sound of the Mediterranean Sea flooding the nave through the front door, or a symbiotic dialogue between a Philomel nightingale and digital birds with synthesized songs;
