Two Cent Revival Matt Jones Kingston, NY Two Cent Revival, a project created by Brazilian-born, Texas-raised singer-songwriter Matt Jones, is a roots rock band in the tradition of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, that marries vivid and intimate lyrics with blues-tinged guitar and organs, as well as hints at Matt’s Latin American background and love of many different types of music, including Balkan. Two Cent Revival’s soon to be released first full length album, produced by Dan Davine and recorded to tape at Craig Dreyer’s Mighty Toad Recording Studio in South Slope, Brooklyn, NY over two weeks, features the sublime musicianship of Tom Welsch on bass, Dan Davine on drums and electric guitar, Elijah Tucker on electric and acoustic guitar, Brian Axford on the Fender Rhodes and other vintage keys, Matt Jones on acoustic guitar and vocals, Julia Farr (backing vocals on “Crow”), Craig Dreyer (saxophone on "Violin"), and The Chamberlain Brass (the brass quintet on “Demons”).
