Sonicanoxonacinos [Disquiet 0252] by Tuonela published on 2016-10-29T00:59:19Z Sonicanoxonacinos [Disquiet 0252] I made a 2 min ‘melodic’ noise track out of mangled sonic scraps. I cloned it, reversed one and mixed them so they were exactly 3 mins long, then created the ‘chime’ track from a risset pulse generated in Audacity. This was given the same clone/flip/mix treatment so that it was as perfectly palindromic as possible, then also duplicated this with one rising one octave over three mins and one falling one octave. ---------------------------------------------- Disquiet Junto Project 0252: Sonic Palindrome Make music that sounds the same backwards and forwards. Step 1: Consider the palindrome, which refers to a word (e.g., “madam”), phrase (“Never odd or even”), or sequence (“5290330925”) that reads the same backward and forward. Step 2: Consider the ways in which a palindrome might have a parallel in music and sound. Step 3: Compose a short piece of music that is informed by a concept that arose from Step 2. Great! 2016-11-06T23:32:57Z Comment by Dave Dorgan The pulse is the perfect counter to the weave of other palindromes. 2016-11-02T13:50:44Z Comment by Ivan Black brill :-) 2016-11-01T09:21:04Z Comment by Benn DeMole That pulse bleep is like something to hold on to in the rest of the sonic sea. nice stuff. 2016-10-31T09:53:13Z Comment by Tuonela @artificial-ambience: Thank you :) 2016-10-31T04:21:44Z Comment by Tuonela @user-651760074: Thanks!
