His eternal will is proclaimed by our Lord, Jesus Christ: “And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.” John 14:29 On the road to Emmaus, Christ made it perfectly clear the He was that which had “come to pass,” pertaining to Israel’s prophesied Messiah; thus many believed because of the fulfilled prophecies. It is fulfilled prophecy that proves the credibility of the Bible. From the Morning Star of the Reformation, John Wycliff, to the Prince of Preachers, Charles Spurgeon –a period of five centuries- this method of prophetic study prevailed. The thought of a seven year tribulation period, at the end of the age, encapsulating the Seals, Trumpets and Vials of the Revelation, would have been immediately rejected and condemned as the speculations of false prophets! Today, it is the Protestant Historicist Interpretation of Bible prophecy (Historicism) that has remained true to the pattern of Scripture. It was the secret of the martyr steadfastness and heroism during the Reformation. The Roman Catholic Counter Reformation attacked Historicism in the 16th century and devised two counter schemes called Futurism and Preterism. Why did their Jesuits distort the prophecies in Daniel and the Revelation? What was this doctrinal assault’s ultimate purpose? Who was the first Protestant to be deceived? Why was Daniel, chapter 9, ground zero of their assault? Why are the Protestants now teaching Futurism and Preterism? Why do all agree that the Divine time measure of the Seventy Weeks of Daniel, chapter 9, are to be interpreted a day for a year, but in the Revelation they are to be interpreted as literal days? This seminar will answer these questions and show you where we are in the unfolding prophecies of the Book of Revelation! Genre Religion & Spirituality
