trueblackdeath St. Petersburg Blackdeath was founded back in 1995 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. From the very foundation and up to now Blackdeath has chanted and is chanting the Apocalypse which befalls everywhere, from the deeps of human psyche to the chasms of the endless Space. Blackdeath plays Apocalyptic Black Metal exclusively. At this date Blackdeath has released nine full-length albums – the latest one, Phantasmhassgorie, was unleashed in February 2019 – as well as several EPs and splits with such bands as Celestia, Horna, Leviathan and some others. The line-up has changed since the foundation and over the last several years the band consists of Abysslooker (guitar) and Colonel Para Bellum (vocals and bass) and Polar Maya (drums), while in the autumn 2014 Der Nukleare Herjann, a prolific musician and the chief of Dutch label Heidens Hart Records, joined the band as a live guitarist. Blackdeath is active for gigs both in Russia and Europe.
