With BBC introducing exposure from his last release 'The Midnight EP', Trekkah was championed across 1xtra and Radio 1 by DJ's such as Huw Stephens, Mista Jam, Dj Target and Trevor Nelson. The producer is back with his debut album 'The Enlightening', released on UK independent label, Phlexx Records.

'The Enlightening' is a collaborative album that is tuned and conceptualised around the ancient Indian practice of the Chakras. Each Chakra has a different frequency and the practice is seen as the journey through life, where from birth we begin to work through each Chakra with the ambition of balancing all, allowing energy to flow through each and through the body. Featuring a range of resonating instrumentation and electronic sounds the album features vocalists from across the world, culminating artistic expressions and response; the producer has created a beautifully articulate 14-track album, that features 8 different languages, showcasing the diverse culture and collaborations from within his home City of Nottingham.

The hometown launch of the material took place at Rough Trade, Nottingham
on the 18th October, with a packed out Tuesday night crowd filling out the venue and taking part in live art activities. Trekkah perform a live audio/visual

Having been played on local BBC Stations such as The Beat Show, presented
by Dean Jackson, Nottz TV and reviewed across a number of online blogs and publications, the album is out in on sale as physical copies in Rough Trade, Nottingham and Phlexx Records Big Cartel store, as well as being digitally released since 11th November on all major online stores. '
As an instrumentalist and vocalist Trekkah is currently writing and performing for/with, Nottingham's Future Sound of music Winner 2012 The Afterdark Movement & Reggae-Dub heavy weights Origin One and folk outfit Benjamin Zięć & The Rarebreeds.
Just in the last year three years Trekkah has performed on stages up and down the country and been billed on festival line-ups such as No Tomorrow Festival, Boomtown & Soundwave Croatia alongside Artists such as London Grammar, Clean Bandit, Gentleman's Dub Club & Sam Smith.
To date, as a Producer, Trekkah Benjamin has had two releases; 'The Colour' Ep (2012) & 'Midnight' Ep (2014 Phlexx Records). Both EPs mix and blend a fruitful array of musical genres and aim to produce an aesthetic balance of both electronic and organically produce sounds.
