LOW TIDE is Tracy Grammer's long-awaited eleventh recording and the first ever to feature her original songs.
Drawing from her own missteps, losses, and revelations, Grammer offers deeply personal, confessional lyrics that are emotionally charged, poetic, sometimes playful, and relatable. Production-wise, she stretches beyond folk on this one, experimenting with bolder vocal delivery, composed descants, deeper grooves, and layered string arrangements that will fit well in Americana and pop playlists.
"For the first time in my twenty-year career, I made a record that feels the way I feel, and conveys the weight and the wisdom of everywhere I've ever been. Here, I am nobody's legacy keeper, nobody's other half -- I am wholly myself on behalf of myself, with all my voices, impulses, influences, and attitudes informing the production. The process was fraught with growing pains but the result feels right and true. And I think that's the best any of us can do."
