Now - you have entered Toad! Toad will let you set up a new workspace or import an encrypted password file that it found on your hard drive (or CD-ROM) when you ran TOAD on a previous installation. Did that ;?
Now, I don't have any bundles of commercial licences, so I have an encrypted file in my user data area and have created the following procedure. If you have to assign licences, start a new workspace and follow the below procedure.
Then click on "Press on New Workspace..." (from the "Settings..." menu) and use the browser as before. You'll now be taken to a page to ask if you have an active licence. Redownload your encrypted password file if you need to.
These instructions apply only to system accounts being migrated from one box of the Toad users to another. If you are using an application account, this part of the process will not work for you.

I never figured out whether to put the commercial version of Toad into the same directory as the oradata directory, or whether to put it in the directory as specified in the "advanced database settings". I created a shortcut on my desktop, saying "To install toad locally in the same directory as your Oracle 9i database", but it doesn't work.
