People often talk about up and coming artists, but some artists are simply special. Tony Calrya showcases all the features of a future star, and his unequivocal passion for his art is presented in every track he releases.
The self-proclaimed ‘Swiss Groove Ambassador’ began his adult life in Hotel Management before moving overseas from his native Sierre, in Switzerland, to manage in a 5* Hotel. After some big changes in his life, his long-standing passion for production took hold fully, and he took the bold step to move to London and attend the world-famous Point Blank music academy. The school is known as a creative hub containing the who’s-who of up and coming producer talents. This move to a new country to follow his musical dream is direct evidence of how much he cares about his music.
He moved on from Hip Hop production to find his niche by creating a Latin/Tribal and Tech House fusion genre. His Soundcloud has accumulated tens of thousands of streams in recent months and 2017 has been his strongest period yet. A successful remix of ‘Valodja’ by industry titan, and massive influence, Steve Angello, saw his notoriety increase and his name began being whispered by people all over the scene. Following in from this, he released the brilliant ‘Colombia’ through El Muerto Records for a free download. It showcased precisely why he has garnered so much attention with these releases, with his special hybrid genre alongside an intrinsic talent for high quality production.
With such an individual flair and passion for music, he is quickly taking steps to push himself to fame. Famous artists such as Jenia x Mr.Styles, Dannic, Benny Benassi, Bob Sinclar, Will K, Laidback Luke and Kryder have taken note of Tony’s work, and there is no doubt that with a bit more time that list of support will grow and grow.
One to watch, Tony Calrya is showing the world he means business and will continue to make truly personal and powerful music until he has reached the top.
"I make music cause it is an escape for me. When im producing music and I go into my zone... I go into my own little perfect world, my wonderland. I escape this world, full of hate, money dominating, selfish, media running world." -Tony Calrya-
