Tomofumi Tanizawa

For his 31st birthday, he journeyed around the world, starting on September 24th, 2012. After visiting 94 cities in 35 countries in 365 days, he came back to Japan on Sept 25th, 2013. He started a super psychedelic and bizarre band project, ”SPACE LIKE CARNIVAL”, with his own original songs which were dreamed up during his world trip. On Nov 11th, 2014, his 1st full album “SPACE LIKE CARNIVAL” was released.It is unpredictable cords and melodies, chasing for the music maniacally, and the way of expression mixed up with technology and wildness. Wacky costumes and live performances attracted maniac music fans, however it did not hit the major music scene. Tanizawa uses over 30 effectors and original noise oscillators, so carrying them around actually threw his back out one day. On Oct 2nd, 2015, SPACE LIKE CARNIVAL was finally disbanded. Don’t worry, it wasn’t because of the strained back. His solo full album “We Are All Spacy” will release on Mar 9th, 2016. He created all songs on his own, including creating the lyrics, composing, mixing and all direction. This is known as “Tanizaworld” and some homeless guy whom Tanizawa used to hang out explained “This shit is fucking Music paradise”. Some music freaks said that his solo gig is also super spacy and psychedelic so it is dangerous to be addicted. Tanizawa is also known as a person with a wide range of interests, including Biking:Roadbike, Motorcycles, Aquariums, Audio, Cooking:Making fried rice, Making Miso, Making stone ovens, and Reading. He grows organically produced vegetables at his farm(Tanizawa Farm), and sells them at his concerts. His blood type is AB, which as everybody can see is his character. On top of that, he is also a comic awards judge who has over 5000 comics on his shelves covering an entire wall of his house.
