Violette Tocqueville aka TOLVY, 18 years old, is the new French hope of electronic music. Following in the footsteps of his elders, Petit Biscuit, The Avener, or Gesaffelstein, TOLVY is a typical artist of his generation, precocious, committed, and bluffing creativity.
Born in Rouen on January 18, 2002, she shows great aptitudes at a very young age. At the age of 4, she began drum lessons, and at the age of 7, she entered jazz piano classes, but it was with Madeon's classic "Pop Culture" that she discovered electronic music for the first time at the age of 8. At the age of 9, her parents gave her first Launchpad for Christmas and she began to learn computer-assisted music on her own. She expands her universe, her knowledge and at 14 years old she makes her first track, then dozens follow... as well as a first self-produced E.P. "ESCAPE" in 2019.
This inexhaustible thirst to move forward, this desire to explore and understand, to question and describe through her music the world around her, TOLVY has transcribed it into her art. Songs that are at the same time elegant and racy, orchestral, melodic, and powerful, carried by a graphic universe in the preponderant place. Such is the signature of TOLVY's rich, punchy and intimate aesthetics.
