Tisha Monique was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica where she was surrounded by the vibrant culture of the Caribbean especially the music. She fell in love with singing from an very early age being surrounded by the laid back yet soulful vibes of reggae as well as dub, ska, dancehall and rocksteady beats.

After moving to the UK at an early age, her tastes broadened and she fell in love with RnB, old school hip hop and neo soul. She then attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School where she fell into the acting world and even though she loved working on several tv shows, her passion for singing had already grown into something greater. Sylvia Young was the stepping stone to the start of TishaMonique's music career and in 2002 'THE 411' were formed. The UK R&B girl group which consisted of four band members signed to Sony. Their first single, “on my knees”, featured Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan and was a huge hit in the UK (reaching top 4). Their second single, "Dumb", reached top 3.  These singles appeared on their album “Between The Sheets”, featuring songs written by Diane Warren, Redeye, as well as themselves.
This choice of pursuit proved to be one of the milestone decisions of TishaMonique's life, as she was able to travel Europe as well as sing and perform on several tracks with 'Lemar' which included the classic, 'let’s stay together' and performing live at Wembley.

However, following the merger of Sony Music with BMG the group were unable to carry on and all went their separate ways in 2005.

TishaMonique says,
'I am now doing what i was always meant to do, my real journey in music has just begun.'
