Timo Elliston Timo Elliston Brooklyn I create music and other sounds for film and television. Currently, I live in Brooklyn, NY. Recent work includes LIFE & BETH, a new series on HULU, created by and starring Amy Schumer; EXPECTING AMY, a three-part film series by Amy Schumer for HBO Max; ABSTRACT: THE ART OF DESIGN, Season 2 on NETFLIX; MARVEL 616 on Disney+; and the EMMY-Nominated YEAR MILLION, a six-part documentary-drama series narrated by Laurence Fishburne on National Geographic. I have also composed the music for dozens of national television commercials; the award-winning feature documentary MORE THAN ME, starring Jim Breuer; the Tribeca Film Festival winner for Best Narrative Short, THE SHOVEL (David Strathairn); television shows for Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Quibi, VH1, TLC and Fine Living; and interactive projects for Marvel and Disney. I was raised in a musical family; I studied piano with my father – pianist and Professor of Music at the University of Maryland, Ron Elliston. I began playing in clubs at age 14 and spent the majority of my life performing in every type of musical venue imaginable. Some highlights include concerts with vocalists Stacey Kent, Rebecca Parris, and Giacomo Gates; performances with jazz legends Charles Davis and Valery Ponomarev; touring with my own trio throughout Southern and Eastern Africa; and collaborating with the New York City Ballet performing music I arranged for a series of performances in New York City and Provence, France. Some more personal highlights include recreating a Dimebag Darrell guitar solo on keyboard while he listened on in a metal club in Texas; and playing show tunes with Neil Armstrong.
