Eagles Coming In by Thus Owls published on 2013/01/17 16:44:55 +0000 "Eagles Coming In" from Thus:Owls debut album "Cardiac Malformations". With a voice that straddles seamlessly the worlds of close fragility and far reaching intensity, there is nary a person who doesnʼt fall immediately entranced when they hear it. The Canadian/Swedish band Thus:Owls have carved themselves into the psyches and hearts of many curious crowds along their way since their 2009 debut record “Cardiac Malformations”. The groupʼs cinematic, dark and emotional art-folk hits you in the gut and brings your focus to what lays deep inside. With an eclectic line-up surrounding the Montreal-relocated Swedish songstress Erika Angell and Montreal guitarist Simon Angell (Patrick Watson Band), Thus:Owls emerge from two of the most prolific and cutting edge corners of the world to create a sound both novel and captivating. "Cardiac Malformations" was recorded during five intense and playful days in the legendary Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is where it all started, where a sense, a feeling, an image of a creation and the sound of Thus:Owls was born.
