Tecwaa is the solo project from York-based musician & DJ Paul Fawcett. With broad influences from early noughties Yorkshire raves, Detroit Techno & horror movie scores, the producer’s sounds are hard to pin down and bracket to any one particular genre.

Exploring the intersections of chugging psychedelic, deep house, slow-disco & dub techno his evocative tracks specialize in that hard to pigeonhole late night/early morning sound, upending club dancefloors and soundtracking afterparty sunrises. That breadth is reflected in the four originals he’s crafted for MeO Notion, from mid-tempo acid breaks on “Many Fallen Skies” and “Solaris” to hyperspeed almost-jungle via “Long Past the Echoes,” and the utterly halucinogenic digi skank of “Î Terra Dub.”

With two mind-melting LPs for Scando powerhouse Höga Nord Rekords, as well as singles for Les Yeux Orange, Futureboogie and now Throne of Blood to name a few, we’re so glad to kick off 2023 with Tecwaa’s latest and dare we say greatest release yet.
