Wednesday, October 18, 2017 - The War On Peace released their progressive, synth-laden new track “High Rise Lies” today. The dark, brooding synths drive the energy forward, as the band pushes their boundaries on this new single. “High Rise Lies” is an early taste of music to come from the trio in early 2018, setting the band up for a big year. They will be heading out on tour in November, leading to their upcoming performance in December at Chicago's renowned Lincoln Hall. Huffington Post premiered the track today, [quote here]. The single will be released on Spotify and iTunes Friday, October 27th.
“High Rise Lies” is the first new release since the band’s last EP. Automated People, released this past May, premiered on GroundSounds who called it “a vibrant, pulsing sonic landscape” and “one of our favorite releases this year.” The single "Fear of Loss" premiered on Paste Magazine, who called it "a stunning visual." Says the band, “Fear of Loss delves into the beginning stages of one cycle, specifically one that happens during the exuberance of youth when all good things electrify you and motivate you toward the thrill of danger.” The band never steers away from emotions or sounds on the EP, and effortlessly blend their pop, rock, and electronic influences into a must-hear EP.
The War on Peace is a Chicago-based three piece that fuses pop, electronic, and dance elements into a vibrant, pulsing sonic landscape. Since the band's inception, the focus has been on bringing a consistent stream of digital sounds to the airwaves. With two full length releases behind them, they continue their collaborative efforts entering into new domains of prolific creation with their 6-song EP, "Automated People". Their process now translated into a high-energy and engaging live show, the three deliver sounds not soon forgotten.
