Roy Green - Sun June 30 - Hour 2 by TheRoyGreenShow published on 2013-06-30T20:56:19Z 3:05: Alberta flood survivors. We speak to a couple from High River who were evacuated by front end loader and who lost their home and business to the flood, as well as their friends who worked as volunteers to assist. Guests: John MacArthur, his wife and friends who lost home/business. - 3:20: More John MacArthur, wife and friends - 3:30: The RCMP yesterday stated on the program that no firearms were removed from High River homes if the firearms were not readily visible. RCMP Sgt. stated that while RCMP officers did look into closets and under beds (explanation was 'people who need rescue sometimes hide in such locations'), if a gun was on a top shelf in a closet and hidden from view, that firearm is still there. Not so says Pat, the mother of a young High River husband and father. Pat says "my son had his rifle taken by the RCMP. His rifle was in a case, hidden in the back of the closet in his bedroom. In my opinion this is looting and they (RCMP) are nothing more than criminals." Pat states her son and his family were rescued from their home by front end loader on June 20. RCMP entered the home June 25. Her view "seizing the firearms was what they were up to." Guests: Playback of RCMP Sgt. Patricia Neely stating guns hidden in closets were not removed and explaining why RCMP looked in closets and under beds. Pat. Mother who says son's rifle was removed by RCMP. Edward Burlew. Criminal lawyer specializing in firearms law. - 3:45: More Pat and Edward Burlew and The LAST WORD to Callers. Restrict to callers from High River, or family/friends of High River residents.
