Hello my name is DJ Saul.
Been dj for the last 12 years in Miami and Beiijing. This site used to the be The Opposites House soundcloud, which I ran and manage. But they finally set there own thing up so I changed it up bit. Ill be posting some mixes and well as simple re-edit, fixes, remixes, whatever you want to call it.
Here is my resume
Raised on the house sounds of his Miami motherland, Saul has been making waves in the Beijing club scene for the past four years and half years. With a full decade behind the decks, Saul's experience is matched only by his eclecticism. He has played with a startling diverse range of artists, from A-trak, to Boys Noize, to Aoki, to Derrick Carter.
Unleashing packs of wild beats, ravaging the sounds of everything from Tech-house, to house, to nu-disco, Saul has howled from the decks of the top clubs in Miami and Beijing. He cut his teeth with his first regular club night in Miami, which he launched in 2006 and was mentioned as “one of America’s hottest parties” in the August 2006 issue of Spin magazine. Before moving to China, he also played for the established Miami electronica night, Poplife (www.epoplife.com).
These days, Saul is the resident DJ at club PUNK in Beijing. One of the most respected clubs in China’s capital, PUNK was voted “Best New Club” by readers of City Weekend magazine in 2008. It just recently won Editors Choice for “Best Place to Dance”, and “Best Club in Beijing.” DJ Saul has also won acclaim by being named “Best DJ” by Time Out Beijing in 2009, as well as recently winning City Weekends Editor Choice for “Best Beijing Dj.” (2011)
From Miami to China’s capital, Saul has DJ-ed with names like Derrick Carter, Kevin Saunderson, Boyz Noize, Steve Aoki, Gnarls Barkley, Danny Rampling, Quantic, Craze, Klever, A-trak, Kid Fresh, CongoRock, Quantic, Tittsworth, Jesse Rose, DJ Drastik, Congo Rock, Stretch Armstrong, Jazzanova, MJ Cole, Oliver $, Renaissance Man, Adam Port, Beware aka Mr. Ho, Kid Fresh, Nick Catchdubs, Jazzanova, Top Billin', Round Table Knights, Zombie Disco Squad, Solo, Mr Flash, Vicarious Bliss, Groove Assassins, Ms. Yellow, Suiza, Round Table Knights, DJ Wordy, Nosaj Thing and The Bug.
Saul just recently finished his first tour of Europe opening for Adam Port at the famous Suicide Circus in Berlin. He also played at the long established night Swoon in Vienna along side Beware and Functionist.
Saul sees his greatest strength as his ability to read crowds and work in a range of dance floor genres. Depending on the party, DJ Saul might be throwing house, disco, hip-hop, indie, dance, drum ‘n’ bass, electro, dubstep, jerkin, techno—or all of the above and more. At PUNK, he’s recently been rallying clubbers with a fantastic fusion of Midget house, tech-house and groovy house. Despite this diverse range, one consistency in Saul D’s sets remains: his ability to tap wells of new music and transform clubs into human wave pools of sonic rapture.
