The Musik Makers are Charlie Louise O'Neill http://www.facebook.com/MusikMakers?v=photos#!/album.php?aid=12658&id=135319653170955 , DJ JimmyJ http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/artists/jimmy-j and George Shilling http://www.georgeshilling.com/ . George is a highly experienced and successful recording engineer and producer. He owns his own purpose-built recording studio. He is great with arrangements and editing, helping create song structures that get the best out of a song. His fantastic ear and perfect pitch have their roots in a musical upbringing. George studied 'cello and piano at the Royal College of Music. After the musical training, George received an engineering training from Jerry Boys (ex-Abbey Road) and many world-class producers and engineers who passed through Livingston Studios. He quickly achieved chart success with Coldcut, engineering the huge Number 1 gold smash 'The Only Way Is Up' by Yazz at the age of 21. Other hits quickly followed with James Brown, Lisa Stansfield and The Soup Dragons, whose massive worldwide hit 'I'm Free' George produced and engineered.
He has engineered for luminary producers such as John Leckie, Brendan Lynch and Mike Hedges. In recent years he has had enormous success with artistes such as Bernard Butler, whose 'Stay' reached Number 12 in the UK, Teenage Fanclub - George recorded and mixed 'Ain't That Enough', their highest charting single and Primal Scream, whose 'Kowalski' reached Number 8 after George mixed it! George has also engineered a number of remixes such as Gabrielle's 'Rise', New Radicals' 'Mother' and The Corrs' 'Lifting Me', and a glance at the Credit List reveals the names of Blur and Texas. He has worked with Appleton, Jake Shillingford's Exile Inside, French recording legend Johnny Hallyday, and the Opera Babes. He has also recorded Darius, mixed Blue, and engineered Steve Winwood and 22-20s albums. He went to New York to work with Longwave and in London worked with New Radicals' Gregg Alexander.
George designed and built Bank Cottage Studio in 2005. Lucky Soul were first through the doors and returned late 2006 to finish their acclaimed debut album. Since then clients have included Andy Yorke, The SheBeats, and Rhythms Del Mundo. In early 2010 Bank Cottage hosted sessions with Ocean Colour Scene. Online mixing and mastering via FTP are an expanding part of George's work, and he has mixed tracks from UK, USA, Russia, France and Hungary. In March George recorded the Classical Relief For Haiti single and mixed and mastered it at Bank Cottage.
Jim Foster is the inimitable Jimmy J: one of hardcore's top producers and one third of hardcore trio, Triple J.
Jimmy spent is "formative" years doing alot of clubbing and met some interesting characters and styles of music on the way. After becoming one of the most popular dj's on the London clubbing circuit he decided to try his hand at making some of the music he was listening to and teamed up with Luna-C (of Knightforce) for 6 years between '92 and '98. Together they produced, cut and sold a mountain of records (usually through Jimmy's Camden outlet - Remix Records). Although he hassled Luna-C to remix "99 Red Balloons" over and over and kept getting knocked back, he decided to give it the remix treatment himself: something Luna-C now regrets, as the result became huge!
Jimmy has dj'd in almost every country in the world including Japan, Canada, USA, Greece, Spain, and of course, Australia
One of Jimmy's biggest musical achievements was a No.4 in the Aussie charts, with "6 Days" (produced with Luna-C). However, neither of the artists liked the track and only released it for the hell of it. It went on to sell stacks and FFRR became interested in releasing it as a European single. The track was ripped off and sold in Europe, destroying the deal. However, the two decided to license the track to Central Station in Australia and produced a European Hard Mix - it went on to become an absolute stormer in Oz and flew into the charts. The two DJs followed it up with 3 tours of Oz...Jimmy has now turned his hand to pop music and we hope you like the results! Working with his brother in law they are producing some of the best music around at the moment. We hope you agree!
Let's not forget all the amazing tracks Jimmy has produced for Just Another Label as part of Triple J. I'm sure no-one can forget "Follow The Sun"...
