The Midwayers Mornington Peninsula In 2015 The Midwayers was born from lead singer Brendon Mellere. Brendon Mellere first began to work on The Midwayers while still performing for other acts. In 2015 The Midwayers recorded the track “All on me” to be the first introduction to the concept. While the song had never taken off, it still gained valuable listeners for the band. The song gained The Midwayers a place on the Tanglewood festival over new years eve 2015/16. The Midwayers are currently working on the release of their debut album “Seasons Vol.1”. A concept album that will have quarterly releases every 3 months, beginning with the first part “Spring Vol.1” in September 2016. Since the release of “All on me” The Midwayers have gone through some member changes, and Brendon Mellere had decided to venture out to collaborating on the album with whom ever he is surrounded by at the time, allowing for an in the moment kind of creation. In the beginning 2017 Brendon's brother Tyson decided to join and they have since combined talents of poetic lyrics and fetching melodies into a band. Word of their intentions spread quickly and in summer 2017 and the journey truly began. With an eclectic mix of genres and musical styles at hand, added is a solid and percussive backbone, sonically rich guitar undertones and driving bass. Each player’s taste resonate in every live show with rocky breakdowns, jubilant vocal melodies, progressive structure and energy. Though they are well experienced in the live music scene, they are looking to expand their online presence and become a regular name on local line ups. With one foot in the sands of the Peninsula and another rested on a bar stool in Melbourne’s north, The Midwayers are playing in as many venues as possible with anticipation of their album release in 2018. “The Midwayers” are mainly a studio band, but with each release contributing to the “Seasons Vol.1” album there will be a month of shows to promote and release the CD, supported by fantastic musicians that have been involved in the album recording.
