CIVIL UNREST IN CHINA GOES UNNOTICED BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA
Riots have sprung up in China for reasons that are not completely known at this time. Sources online are indicating that this is a popular uprising, while some media outlets are reporting that “Muslim extremists” are responsible. Reports from Beijing describe around 70,000 anti-terrorism police have set up 24 hour patrols in the regional capitol of Urumqi. Every region in injian has an armed police detachment, with as many as four in Urumqi. The People's Liberation Army reportedly has more than 10,000 troops in the region. The Chinese media has accused the United States media of spreading misinformation about the riots and insists that the incident is strictly an act of terrorism by extremists not supported by the people.
HEALTH GROUP FINDS HIGH LEVELS OF CARCINOGENS IN PEPSI SODA
Eurofins Analytical laboratory in Louisiana analyzed Coke and Pepsi products purchased from 10 states and found high levels of the cancer causing chemical 4-methylimidazole. Coca-Cola and PepsiCo had promised to change their products ingredients in response to a California law that requires labeling of products with known carcinogens as ingredients. The new tests however found Coke products and Pepsi products with carcinogen levels ranging from four to eight times higher than allowed in the California law. The Center for Environmental Health commissioned the study and will test Pepsi products again in the spring.
FRENCH AGENCY IS ALSO SPYING ON ALL CITIZENS DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
Thursday the daily Le Monde reported that France's external intelligence agency, DGSE, is spying on the French public's phone calls, emails and social media activity in France and around the world. The Le Monde stated that the agency is intercepting signals from computers and telephones in France and between other countries to create a map of "who is talking to whom". France's seven other intelligence agencies are reported to have access to the data in order to track people whose communications seem suspicious. The report was based upon anonymous intelligence sources and remarks by intelligence officials. The claims are similar to activities in America by the NSA and the British government that were recently exposed by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

ANOTHER CHILD THE LATEST CASUALTY IN OBAMAS DRONE WAR
On June 9 media reports discussed a U.S. drone firing on a vehicle in a remote province of Yemen THAT killed several "militants”. Since that time McClatchy newspapers confirmed a 10 year old boy, Abdulaziz, was among those killed. The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reported there was strong evidence that the death was caused by a U.S. drone strike. The White House has declined to comment on the situation. Although President Obama gave a major speech in May outlining that “there must be near-certainty that no civilians will be killed or injured”, independent counts range from 200 to around 1,000 civilian deaths from US drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia over the past decade.
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (AP) - More than two dozen people were injured when a wood platform holding live fireworks tipped over, sending the pyrotechnics into a crowd at an annual 4th of July show northwest of Los Angeles, authorities said Friday. Between 8,000 and 10,000 revelers were settling into their seats for the fireworks extravaganza at a Simi Valley park Thursday night when the spectacle of lights that were supposed to be launched in the sky never took off. A bright plume of red and white bursts spread across the ground, injuring 28 people and sending others fleeing for safety.
