The Iridium Experiment D.C Coldfield Johannesburg THE IRIDIUM EXPERIMENT is the creative brainchild of Kenneth Hugh and Ewan Botha. Forged in the musical fires at Kenneth Hugh's Rabid Dog Studios originally as a studio project, T.I.E. decided to expand the band roster to handle live shows. To fulfill the live performance duties, T.I.E. invited Merrick 'The Bear' Kyle (bass guitar), Damian 'D.C.' Coldfield (guitar), Caleb Smith (drums), and Ruan Rabie (guitar) to join the project. After the recording of the band's debut E.P., Ewan decided to take a step back from the project and after a hefty audition, it was decided that vocal duties will be fulfilled by Nick Rhynas. The band's debut 5-track E.P. 'HERO. VILLAIN. VICTIM.' (release date - March 1st, 2021) is a solid amalgam of raw emotional vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, all wrapped up in hardcore guitars with a solid rhythmical foundation on drums and bass.
