The Gala (US) Boston, MA In March of 2016, Boston's bombastic garage rock n' roll band The Gala appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Accompanied by the premiere of the single "November" on Boston Emissions with Anngelle Wood (100.7 WZLX), they made their debut on air at 91.5 WMFO and announced a number of dates to follow. Quickly concocting an incredibly powerful and dynamic set of material that is relentlessly frenetic, audacious and charismatic, managing to stay unflinchingly cool while belting out a blur of caustic sincerity. Releasing their single on 7" vinyl and for download through Dead Beat Records and Hi Fi Hepcat Press. They have managed to build a hype for themselves with a year packed full of fun-loving, energetic, fuzz-drenched shows in support of their single and it's video. They kicked off 2017 with the release of their frenzied sermon of rock n' roll titled the Pucker Up EP on cassette through Hi Fi Hepcat Press and accompanying 7" single "Touch Me" through Dead Beat Records.
