The City Sounds Brisbane City Sounds is Australia’s largest free live music program, presenting local and touring bands and artists in the Queen Street Mall, Post Office Square, South Bank and other locations around Brisbane each week. Since 2000, City Sounds has been at the forefront of the local music scene, introducing Brisbane to up-and-coming local musicians via live performances at the Queen Street Mall, Post Office Square and Reddacliff Place every week. City Sounds is also Australia’s largest free live music program - in 2014 alone we presented more than 2250 performances in 20 venues around Brisbane’s CBD. In 2015, the City Sounds grew even further and extended its programming to South Bank.
