Loves Arms by thebookofcurtis published on 2013/02/19 19:00:47 +0000 As I keep doing This Book of Curtis thing I am realizing that it is very much becoming an audio diary. And for those of you who are resonating close enough to care about what the world sometimes sounds like to me seriously thank you. You truly are the brightest stars of the darkest skies. Now this song I wrote and recorded when I was 18 for a friend of mine who was 17 and going through something we both thought was rough. Another friend of mine John Guffa (Amazing Musician) wrote and recorded the guitars and I came and laid down the vocals one sunny afternoon in Tempe AZ. I guess that’s a big reason why I write and record music mostly to help myself understand things that I don’t and perhaps help out a friend or two along the way as well. Thanks for listening in. Now run on home and go and tell your momma You went away and oh you lost your honor To a boy from the wrong side of town He aint never been rich but he always held it down You fell in love and though it sounds crazy You turned your love into a little baby Let her know that you never meant harm And girl you found your place in loves arms. There’s things in life that you can’t explain Cause you can’t explain all that’s real Ink on paper is much to plain Wont come near to contain all you feel And I don’t have to see you to know No I don’t have to be you to know you Girl all I need is to see the storms in your eyes Cause they’re the same in mine. Now run on home and go and tell your momma You found your place in loves arms.
