Ms. Kent makes it clear that the Treasury department follows the laws as set by Congress. [0:58] "Now for [stimulus] EITs, the law has exempted these payments from the Treasury office program except in one important aspect, and that would be if the payee owes a delinquent child support obligation that has been submitted to the Treasury Offset Program for collection, Treasury will intercept that payment up to the amount of the [child support] obligation owed." (I.E. Congress has said, guys don't get to skip out on their child support payments.)
