The Moon Unit A band on the rise from the western North Carolina area, The Moon Unit is primarily focused on perfecting a progressive funk/jazz sound. What started as a high school four-piece, has refined into a tight trio with sounds ranging from Rush to James Brown to Snarky Puppy. Funk roots coupled with trance-infused jams gives The Moon Unit a rather unique sound. Their current line-up features Kurt Stracener on drums, Brantley Ramseur on bass, and Charlie Garnett on guitar/vox, but TMU loves having guest appearances as well. Spoonfeeding tasty jams to society is their mission.
