pure elektronik part 1 by The Tinopener's Art published on 2012-07-22T11:17:17Z The Munich band the tinopener's art plans to release three albums this year – all in different music styles and concepts. The first one is the EP "pure elektronik part 1" with six new tracks – a concept album, which is uncompromisingly dedicated to electronic sound and rhythm. the tinopener's art say about their new work: "We wanted this time to disregard any big thoughts about song structure, lyrics or whether the individual tracks perfectly fit together. We just wanted to hole up in our studio with our favourite synths and have fun with them." Accordingly, vocals and lyrics play only a very minor role for this new album. The individual tracks experiment with different styles of electronic music: the openers subroutine and nanomaster somehow remind of electro-pioneers like LFO or Kraftwerk, not only due to some typical electro-pop tunes, but especially due to the distorted robot-like vocoder sounds. The third track Stop starts dreamy and floating, and then takes the dancefloor with a powerful trance tune. It reminds of viewing a fantastic sunrise at the beach, after a trance night full of dancing. The next track lololo then brings us back into the basement of discarded industrial buildings in the big city. With its funky samples and the raw, strong beat it seems to be the ideal tune for a party in a wicked electronic club. Also the next track blacworld cybernetics keeps the urban, industrial feel, but this time less danceable. With its collage of noisy sounds and samples it reminds more of an industrial soundtrack in the style of Richard H Kirk. The last track continues this trend to abstract sounds: conductor beat dispenses with melody and creates a sound sculpture by layering rhythm and echo-like sounds - perfectly concluding this electronic album. As usual, the album also takes into account the optical component of art. Thus, the tinopener's art produced an own cover artwork for each track of the album.
