Thus, all tracks convey a dark, melancholic mood. Most of the album's lyrics deal with the dark and seductive side of eroticism. This covers a spectrum from subculture scene sketches to amour fou stories. The sometimes cryptic and surrealistic lyrics also deal with other topics, such as naive belief in progress or the alienation of persons.
